Johor State Year 6 English in Camp

The State English in Camp for year 6 students was held at the Politeknik in Mersing this year.  It was a tremendous amount of work, but hugely successful. English teachers from the town of Mersing were responsible for planning and running the entire event. 

Special recognition goes to Aliyya from SRAB and Raj from SJK T Mersing, in addition to  the stellar contributions of their hard-working team.

The Mersing mentors were involved in the planning sessions and  took shifts attending the camp for the first 2 days and nights, participating and assisting the organisers and students. 

We were also tasked with creating a native speaker interview activity, and the PPD asked mentors Richard and Karen from Kota Tinggi and Julie and Angela from Kluang to join us in running the activity on May 7^th. 

                           

 Special thanks go out to Haji Hamzah, who helped organize, and to Simon from Kota Tinggi, who spent 2 days out in the heat as official photographer.
